Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you use this website or hire Mastercraft Lincoln Concrete and Masonry for work at your property. By browsing the site, asking for an estimate or booking a job with us, you agree to them, so please read them before you do.
"We", "us" and "our" mean Mastercraft Lincoln Concrete and Masonry and our crew. "You" means the person using the site or the property owner we're working for. If a signed estimate or contract for your job says something different from this page, the signed document controls for that job.
What we do
We're a masonry contractor in Lincoln, NE, and we also handle concrete work. That includes foundation repair, chimney and brick repair, tuckpointing, retaining walls, pavers, walkways, stone veneer, fireplaces and outdoor kitchen masonry. We work in Lincoln and the cities around it.
The service descriptions on this site are general information to help you understand the work. They aren't a promise that a particular method, material or result fits your house, because we only know that after we've seen the job. You can read more about us on our About page or start from the home page.
Estimates and pricing
Our estimates are free and done in person, and there's no pressure to book. Each estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the day we visit, and it lists the work, materials and price we're quoting.
Masonry and concrete jobs sometimes turn up problems you can't see until the work is open, like rotted framing behind brick, a cracked footing or soft soil under a slab. If that happens, we'll stop, show you what we found and give you the added cost in writing before we go further. We won't do extra work you haven't approved.
Material prices change, so an estimate holds for the period written on it. After that, we may need to update the price before we schedule the job.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We'll give you a start date once you accept the estimate, and we'll keep you posted if it moves. Mortar and concrete need the right temperature and dry conditions to cure, so we may push a job back for rain, freezing weather or extreme heat rather than pour or lay brick in conditions that would weaken the work.
Delays caused by weather, material shortages, permit timing or other things outside our control don't count as a breach of our agreement. We'll reschedule as soon as conditions allow.
If you need to cancel or move your job, please call us at (402) 202-7624 as early as you can. If we've already ordered special materials or started work, you may owe for those materials and the work done up to that point, as your estimate or contract describes.
Your part of the job
You agree to give our crew reasonable access to the work area, water and power where the job needs them. Please tell us about anything we should know before we dig or drill, such as sprinkler lines, pet fences, septic systems or property line questions.
You're responsible for confirming where your property line is when the work runs close to it. Where a job needs a permit, the city or county decides that, and we'll talk through with you who applies for it before the work starts.
Payment
Your estimate or contract sets out what you pay, when you pay it and whether a deposit is needed before we order materials or start. The balance is due when the work is finished, unless your agreement says otherwise.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's caught up. Unpaid balances may also be subject to collection and to any lien rights Nebraska law gives contractors who improve a property.
Our guarantee and its limits
We're licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work with satisfaction guaranteed on every job. If something isn't right, call us and we'll come back out to look at it and make it right.
Any written warranty for your project will be stated in your estimate or contract, along with what it covers and for how long. Outside of that written warranty and our guarantee, and to the extent the law allows, we don't make any other promises about the work, whether stated or implied.
Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from things we don't control, like ground settling, frost heave, water from gutters or grading we didn't install, tree roots, impacts, de-icing salts, misuse or later work by someone else. Natural variation in brick, stone and concrete color and texture, and fine hairline cracks in concrete, are normal and aren't defects.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost rent, lost use of your property or added costs from delays.
This website is offered as is. We work to keep it accurate, but we don't promise it's free of errors or always available, and we aren't responsible for losses from relying on its general information instead of an in-person estimate.
Resolving disagreements
If you're unhappy with anything, please call us first. Most problems get sorted out quickly once we're standing at the job together and can see what's going on.
If we can't settle it that way, you and we agree to try good-faith negotiation before going to court. Any lawsuit about these terms or our work will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Nebraska.
Nebraska law applies
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the current one. Changes apply going forward and don't alter a signed estimate or contract you already have with us.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
